Responsibilities

We have an immediate opening for a BIM Coordinator in our Northwest Austin office. The ideal candidate will manage the processes for the delivery of modeling by reviewing content individually and with the project teams. You will liaise with peers across Page/ to maintain an awareness of the latest modeling methodologies while increasing the automation of tasks where possible. Also this role will allow you to support a team of modeling technicians. 

  • Lead BIM delivery at a project level; manage the production of models, drawings, and other outputs;
  • Work with Architects, Engineers, and Technicians on a range of projects;
  • Review, contribute to, and implement BIM Execution Plans;
  • Oversee and manage BIM process for the project duration and ensure all stakeholders are in alignment with the Project BIM Protocols;
  • Establish, implement, and maintain quality control procedures;
  • Work with the Project Manager and discipline Engineers to define deliverable schedules and implement these within the model;
  • Set up new project models following project standards;
  • Support the project team with technical delivery using various software listed below;
  • Provide advice and support for the group to enable efficient delivery and high-quality spatial data on the various projects;
  • Create and maintain a BIM Coordination Program;
  • Establish BIM Coordination workshops and report progress at the Project Design Team meetings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training or prior work experience in the building industry;
  • 5+ years of related experience working in Architecture & Engineering, MEP or related industries, with detailed knowledge of project processes, milestones and deliverables;
  • Proficiency in design tools, such as: Revit (including Excel plug-ins), and NavisWorks;
  • An articulate communicator able to convey Design Technology-related concepts to all levels of design and delivery professionals;
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion and to set priorities and manage competing demands;
  • Experience in modeling a range of services including but not limited to; mechanical pipework, ventilation, lighting, power, containment, and drainage;
  • Ability to evaluate clash detection and run reports for internal coordination and quality control during design stage;
  • Ability to understand, manage and produce asset Information, to industry standards such as COBie;
  • Experience producing/implementing BIM Execution Plans;
  • Show an eagerness to develop your digital and technology skills and a desire to assist others in the production of a high standard BIM output on projects.
