Plumbing Designer/Engineer

We are in search of a junior Plumbing Designer to join our Boston office. This is an excellent opportunity in MEP consulting engineering. Our office environment offers a supportive, team-based approach and wealth of opportunities to stretch professionally. Main responsibilities entail:

• Developing MEP construction documentation under the supervision of assigned engineering, design, and BIM staff utilizing primarily AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP
• Creating construction models in AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP as part of a BIM team
• Creating detailed field installation drawings and fabrication drawings
• Working from both customer and firm drawings
• Performing file management functions such as posting models, downloading model updates, managing links, and historic versioning
• CAD and Revit drafting
• Providing technical support for existing projects and field service
• Attending coordination meetings, communicating with other trades, and creating/extracting reports, as required.

• 4 year Bachelors Degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering or a 2 year technical or associates degree in Computer Aided Drafting/Construction Technology, Mechanical Technology, or similar
• EIT certification, or interest in obtaining
• Demonstrate knowledge or interest on MEP systems and their installation, with an emphasis on mechanical and plumbing installations preferred
• Developing knowledge of mechanical system design
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP
• Possess an understanding of drawing and modeling organization, detail, and precision
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Positive attitude and desire to work as part of a team
