Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of PC hardware components, desktop operating systems and application software;
  • Intermediate knowledge of networking, servers and cyber hygiene;
  • Able to maintain complete confidentiality with data;
  • Provide desktop technical support in two Austin locations in collaboration with the regional IT team;
  • Support break/fix to include the following: troubleshooting, components, installation, adds / moves / changes, user administration, access control, cloud products, remote connectivity and peripherals;
  • Computer imaging and deployment;
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours as needed;
  • Knowledge of Autodesk and Bluebeam products a plus;
  • Knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), building packages and deploying systems a plus.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of college level course work and MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), CompTIA A+, or equivalent;
  • A minimum of 5 years providing end-user support in a corporate environment of 70+ workstations;
  • Expert at providing a high level of customer service in a friendly manner;
  • Working knowledge of Office 365, Active Directory, VPN, scripting and antimalware technologies;
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimal direct supervision;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize;
  • Able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to: lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking;
  • Valid Driver's license as well as reliable transportation for travel to locations daily;
  • Clear communicator both in person and in writing across various levels of the organization;
  • Team player mentality and approach to all staff;
  • Quick at learning new concepts as well as an ability to deal with high stress situations;
  • Network+, Security+, MCSA certifications a plus;
  • Additional duties, as assigned.
