We are seeking an experienced B2B Communications Director for a growing team that is responsible for protecting and promoting Page’s reputation through storytelling that emphasizes our people. The position holder will collaborate with several other internal team directors to implement a new organizational design with some shared resources. The role requires vision for meeting a rapidly expanding firm’s communication needs with finite resources, experience with metrics to prove the team’s value to the firm’s bottom line and commitment to meeting agreed-upon business goals.


This position marries strategy, collaboration with other directors and management of employees executing multiple communication elements. It requires the expertise to guide lower-level staff in effective execution of traditional and digital media; external stakeholder and employee communications; website and intranet management and content strategy and development. A process-oriented mindset will serve to oversee other aspects of Page’s reputation such as award submissions, top tier project photography process management and cultural content.


The ideal candidate possesses a track record of managing a virtual team and collaborating across offices and business sectors. They should understand how B2B marketing and business development activities intersect and align with the spokes of a corporate communication umbrella. Multiplatform campaign experience from concept to completion is a plus; architectural industry experience is not necessary but a fresh perspective on distinguishing Page within a crowded industry would then be expected.


Responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to increase the visibility of Page’s market sectors, practice areas and thought leaders in an equitable way;
  • Develop corporate programming and executive visibility strategies encompassing media, thought leadership, events, and influencer engagement to build reputation;
  • Oversee external communications for the firm including media relations for corporate announcements, social media engagement, proactive storytelling, and awards;
  • Challenge and inspire collaborative Communications, Marketing and Business Development teams to think differently and generate ideas around communication channels, platforms, and storytellers;
  • Identify and measure KPIs and goals for our work;
  • Provide sound media counsel to our firm’s leadership.


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field;
  • 15+ years of experience in B2B marcom experience in a multidisciplinary corporation;
  • Agency experience preferred;
  • Account management a plus:
  • Knowledge of communications methodology in Latin America preferred;
  • Experience with EDI communications is a plus:
  • Diplomacy and tact required as the role will interact with Board members, Pagers at a variety of levels, in addition to industry partners;
  • Knowledge of media and communications principles, ethics, practices, and techniques as well as technical applications;
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills including editorial experience;
  • Experience tracking industry and competitor best practices and determining suitability for application at Page;
  • Experience with staying atop evolutions in digital media platforms;
  • Strategic thinker with an integrated perspective including digital, social, influencers, strategic partners, and experiences;
  • A keen appreciation and understanding of the narrative and storytelling focus about the people who make architecture, engineering, design, and related consulting practice areas successful;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate plainly and directly – with empathy and insight;
  • Unimpeded by challenges and able to provide many dynamic solutions.
