Responsibilities

Work collaboratively to partner with housing / hospitality senior leadership and design team to deliver mid-size to large hospitality and luxury multi-family projects for our clients. The Project Architect position assists in the development of the project design, production of presentation drawings, sketches and assists in solving design complexities. This individual must demonstrate creativity and good design judgment. This person will work across offices and contribute to thought leaders with design staff in our other offices.

  • Partner with Design Director(s) and team on presentations and all stages of design.
  • Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project and stakeholder objectives.
  • Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
  • Deliver services with the guiding principles of creativity, collaboration, and commitment
  • Ability to forecast and organize project design development and production delivery
  • Ability to identify and address issues following protocol and procedure to reach the best resolution
  • Strong architecture and detailing skills and proficient in construction administrative processes
  • Understanding of construction processes and methods and how it impacts the project
  • Maintain key business relationships and bring new relationships to the firm

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Architecture
  • Licensed architect
  • Approximately 10 + years’ experience in design architectural experience, focused on leisure real estate including luxury multi-family housing and hospitality
  • Working knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, agency standards, and building codes and regulations, California preferred.
  • Experience with Revit Preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Suite Preferred, including knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design
  • Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas
  • Ideal candidate will have robust design development through visualization skills
  • A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
