Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of PC hardware components, desktop operating system software and application software;
  • Basic knowledge of networking, servers and cyber hygiene;
  • Able to maintain complete confidentiality with data;
  • Provide desktop technical support in two Austin locations in collaboration with the regional IT team;
  • Day to day break fix including: troubleshooting, components, installation, adds / moves / changes, user administration, access control;
  • Computer imaging and deployment;
  • Occasional evening or weekend hours as needed;
  • Knowledge of Autodesk and Bluebeam products a plus;
  • Knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), building packages and deploying systems a plus.

Qualifications

  • One year college level course work and MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional), CompTIA A+, or equivalent;
  • Minimum of three years providing end-user support for current PC desktop and application software OR three years installing, upgrading, troubleshooting and repairing personal computers in an enterprise environment;
  • Expert at providing a high level of customer service in a friendly manner;
  • Ability to multitask;
  • Able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking;
  • Valid Driver's license as well as reliable transportation needed to travel to and from locations daily;
  • Clear communicator both in person and in writing across various levels of the organization;
  • Must be a team player;
  • Quick at learning new concepts as well as an ability to deal with high stress situations;
  • Additional duties, as assigned.
