Page is currently hiring an Instrument & Controls Senior Designer in our Austin, Texas location. This person is responsible for coordinating overall Instrument and Controls project engineering and design activities, concepts and communications in partnership with the Process and Mechanical Engineering team.   • Provide Instrumentation and Controls Engineering design and specify I&C systems for high-tech manufacturing, semiconductor fabrication, chemical processing, pharmaceutical, water and waste-water processing facilities;
  • Experience in sizing, selecting and specifying control valves, damper actuators, and industrial instrumentation;
  • Prepare wiring and raceway routing plans, instrument data sheets, process flow diagrams (PFD), piping and instrumentation diagrams (PID), loop wiring diagrams, PLC/DCS wiring diagrams, instrument installation plans and details, logic diagrams, sequences of operation, input/output databases and additional documentation as necessary;
  • Develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (PID), loop wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, sequences of operation, input/output databases, and construction specifications;
  • Support development, administration, and execution of I&C execution plans for projects;
  • Apply engineering principles and practices to diverse design and design/build projects;
  • Interface with customers to manage project delivery;
  • Candidate must be able to meet badging requirements for client sites, including passing a background check;
  • Other duties as required.



  • 15 years of experience in I&C design in industrial process control applications;
  • Experience developing P&IDs, loop wiring diagrams, wiring schematics, PLC/DCS control panel layouts, panel wiring diagrams, instrument plan diagrams, and conduit routing plans in compliance with ISA standards and practices;
  • Designing and implementing industrial communication networks including Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, Devicenet, wireless telemetry, fiber networks;
  • Experience with AutoCAD, PLC Programming, ladder logic and HMI SCADA development and programming;
  • Familiar with codes NFPA 70, NFPA 497, UL 508A, and UL 698A;
  • Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and MEP design;
  • Database Instrumentation tool experience (SPI/Intools, REBIS, AVEVA, others) preferred;
  • Able to perform job walks wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in an operating facility;
  • May require travel to national and international jobsites and supplier locations.
