We are seeking a sustainability leader who is committed to developing high performing buildings and passionate about sustainable solutions. As a building performance analyst, you will help our teams make more data driven design decision and work towards our 2030 challenge commitment. As a Building Sciences member, you will serve as a firm wide resource in our integrated team and help establish best practices within our firm for modeling processes.



  • Set up, run, and interpret the following analysis and simulation: Early “Simple Box” Energy Modelling, Solar Radiation / Insolation, Daylighting, Shadow Studies, Wind Studies, Wall Assembly Analysis, Climate & Comfort Analysis
  • Provide performance-based design feedback to inform the design and development of projects.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary client teams and demonstrate credibility to give teams confidence to make better decisions based on objective data and real-world insights.
  • Develop info graphics and reports for design teams related to environmental performance.
  • Develop BIM tools and workflows for firm wide deployment.
  • Train staff on use of basic analysis and simulation tools.
  • Other Potential responsibilities depending on capabilities of candidate: General design or renderings, LEED & green building certification support, AIA 2030 reporting, Post-occupancy evaluations, Project metric collection
  • Serve as an office leader within the firm to develop standard modeling practices for high performance, green building certification, and energy code compliance.
  • Involved as an external leader within related industries in issues technical capability with respect.


  • Degree in architecture, engineering, building sciences, or related field.
  • 2-8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Competency is required in software platforms  Revit (with Insight plug in) and Rhino/Grasshopper (with Ladybug plug in).
  • Familiarity with other performance-based tools is preferred: Wufi, Diva, IES, Climate consultant, Tally.
  • Any credentials related to sustainability, building performance or energy modeling is preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial to evolve this position into a firm wide resource and develop an internal team to create an area of collaborative and reliable expertise within the firm.
  • Experience developing and implementing sustainability concepts and strategies as demonstrated through actual project or program work.
  • Detail oriented, self-starter with proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong writing skills and presentation/teaching ability.
  • Proven effectiveness coordinating with teams from variety of building related disciplines.
