Overview

Page is seeking an Experiential Graphic Designer to work with our Branding & Graphics team. Experiential graphic design is a practice that involves multiple disciplines including architecture, graphic design, interior design, industrial design and landscape design. Each of these disciplines provides a vehicle for communicating information and identity, way-finding and branding. We are looking for candidate with a background within one or more of these fields demonstrating experience working in design and development of architectural graphics, specialty graphics, signage, wayfinding systems, and branded environments.

 

Our team works collaboratively with a variety of client types in multiple market sectors around the U.S., including higher education institutions, corporate / commercial projects, mixed-use districts, housing and hospitality, and civic and cultural entities. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts that support brand promise and deliver brand experiences in support of client’s needs;
  • Develop graphics, wayfinding systems and other place-making experiences for a variety of client types;
  • Assist in all phases of the design process from concepts through CA;
  • Prepare design detail drawings and specifications, including plans and message schedules.

Qualifications

  • Degree in design-related field, such as Graphic Design, Architecture, or Industrial Design;
  • 3+ years of environmental graphic design experience;
  • A strong portfolio showing design sensibility, composition and typographic skills;
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite is a requirement. InDesign, Illustrator using CadTools, Photoshop and SketchUp on a Mac. Knowledge of signage programming software (e.g. Sign Agent Pro) and 3D design programs (e.g., Rhino, 3DS Max or similar, Revit, AutoCAD) is a plus;
  • Experience in the architectural Construction Administration process is a requirement. Knowledge of CA management software such as Newforma, Procore, is a plus;
  • Understands architectural scale, dimensions, sections, plans and elevations;
  • A clear understanding of materials and methods of sign fabrication with experience developing design documentation documents;
  • Strong organizational skills in time management of individual work flow and project schedules;
  • Excellent communication skills—on-line, and in person;
  • Professional demeanor, positive attitude, eagerness for learning and knowledge-sharing in a collaborative studio;
  • Demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach to problem solving, ability to meet deadlines, and commitment to creating the best result;
  • Can work harmoniously within an interdisciplinary, fast-paced environment both cooperatively and autonomously, to accomplish tasks in the given time frame. Flexible enough to work with interruptions;
  • Contributes to positive team spirit on projects, supportive of others, participates in generous collaboration and ideation.
