Overview

As a member of our Communications Systems Team, the Senior Communications Systems Designer will provide expertise and leadership to advance the designs for technically complex projects. The Communications Systems division at Page includes telecommunications, electronic security, audiovisual systems, and related technologies. The Designer will coordinate with other Discipline Leads, Engineers, Architects, BIM/CAD/REVIT staff, as well as other Consultants to develop construction documents. You will act as a consultant and possess a skill set that includes; supporting contractors, clients, owners, and other stakeholders throughout the project phases. The vertical market focus includes science & technology, industrial, and/or manufacturing facilities for large private sector enterprises. Additionally, this opportunity could also include supporting diverse sectors such as higher education, healthcare, civic & state government, corporate/commercial, and hospitality. Will you join us? 

Responsibilities

  1. Manage project timelines and deliverables;
  2. Collect project requirements and coordinate design with the project team as well as collaborate to deliver fully coordinated construction documents;
  3. Participate in all phases of the project from concept through construction completion;
  4. Advance the design and develop documentation (drawings, specifications, narratives, reports, cutsheets, calculations, etc.);
  5. Attend meetings and present design packages to clients;
  6. Other duties as necessary.

Qualifications

  1. Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) is required;
  2. PSP or CSP Certification is beneficial but not required;
  3. A minimum of 5 years of documented experience in the design of Communications Systems and experience demonstrating a thorough understanding of communications systems design;
  4. Bachelor degree from an accredited university beneficial but not required;
  5. PE beneficial but not required;
  6. Familiarity of relevant industry standards and best practices;
  7. Experienced with the A/E delivery process
  8. Ability to accurately interpret design/construction documents (Civil, Structural, MEP, Architectural, Technology, );
  9. Skilled at independently managing multiple projects, competing priorities, and time constraints;
  10. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality;
  11. Strong technical writing skills;
  12. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal relationship skills;
  13. Required to pass a background investigation;
  14. Experience with the following technology; Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel), AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and other software packages as required to deliver projects.
