    Responsibilities

     

    Qualified candidates must be able to interpret healthcare programming information, generate alternative healthcare planning configurations, arrange and plan clinical spaces with coordinated equipment requirements, and work within a larger architecture and consultant team to develop the plans and spatial design from concept through CDs., be familiar with healthcare planning standards and code requirements for healthcare and related facilities.  Position provides broad opportunity to engage in all aspects of healthcare design, including inpatient, outpatient, and specialty facilities. Must be able to work within a design-focused team of architects and consultants.

     

    The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to creatively solve problems from the conceptual stage through to completion on mid to large scale health projects. This position offers an extremely unique opportunity to work within a national healthcare design firm.  The candidate will be working integrally with senior medical planning staff to realize plans for multimillion dollar hospital campuses as well as stand-alone clinics and outpatient facilities. Primary responsibilities include: Actively collaborate in the technical development of projects.  Maintain communications with the client and consultants on project status, design intent, user group concerns and questions.  Prepare design sketches of moderate to complex healthcare plans.  Produce planning documents in support of Programming through Construction Document Design phases.  Communicate with other disciplines to ensure coordination of project documents.  Evaluate design for code compliance and assist in plan check review and approvals.  Coordinate with all other team members on project assignments.

    Qualifications

    • Candidates must have an architecture degree from an accredited institution and possess a minimum of eight (8) years experience with large architecture project delivery along with the following skills: 
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience programming and planning medical facilities from outpatient clinics to inpatient facilities. 
    • Prefer to have architectural license or in process of obtaining professional credentials. 
    • Must have capacity to organize and run clinical end-user interface meetings in development of plans.  It is required to have broad understanding of medical equipment for all types of clinical environments including surgery, imaging and critical care. 
    • It is required to have AutoCAD and Revit expertise along with experience with MS Excel. 
    • Must have ability to work in a team environment with strong organizational skills including time management.Li-LR1
