    Page is seeking a fire protection engineering intern to join the Austin office for the summer of 2019. The candidate is preferred to be a current undergraduate student in the discipline of fire protection engineering. Undergraduate engineering students with a demonstrated interest in fire protection engineering will also be considered.


    Responsibilities will include:


    • Design of fire alarm and fire suppression systems
    • Review and development of life safety plans
    • Collaboration with a variety of engineering and architectural disciplines
    • Production support of construction documents such as drawings, narratives, specifications for ongoing projects
    • Review of fire protection related construction submittals
    • Assistance in update and development of Page fire protection standards
    • Presence on project site visits as required to assist in fire protection design.
    • Development of site fire protection features and fire department access plans
    • Analysis of smoke movement, means egress, and fire hazards
    • Communication with clients and writing technical reports



    • In current pursuit of Bachelor’s of Science degree from an ABET accredited engineering program
    • Experience in fire suppression, fire alarm, and life safety review and design
    • Knowledge of Revit, AutoCad, and fire protection related computational programs
    • Knowledge of adopted building codes and governmental (DoD, VA, GSA) standards
    • Experience working with NFPA codes and standards
    • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
