Page is a national award-winning design and planning firm with over 450 professionals in six offices across the U.S. Our work consists largely of complex projects that benefit from our integrated disciplines and that make a significant impact on the communities they serve. We are currently seeking to fill a position in our Austin office for a highly motivated and creative urban designer to play a key role in our expanding, multidisciplinary design practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide design support on a wide range of project types: regional, citywide and district plans, transit-oriented development plans, academic and research campus plans, as well as mixed use, residential, and commercial plans for urban and urbanizing environments
  • Collaborate with Page planners, architects, and landscape architects, as well as other team members and clients, to create integrated, sustainable and memorable solutions to complex design and planning problems
  • Prepare graphics and documentation to support urban design, planning, and architecture projects
  • Assist with coordinating clients and sub-consultants
  • Integrate physical, social, economic, and regulatory factors into smart design for our clients

Qualifications

  • A bachelor or master’s degree in urban design (preferred), architecture or landscape architecture
  • Excellent verbal, graphic and written communication skills
  • Ability to work as an essential, collaborative team member on a diverse range of design and planning projects at a wide range of scales in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Proficiency in a variety of graphic software applications including AutoCAD, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling software such as Revit, 3-DS Max, Rhino, or SketchUp
  • Strong design skills and the ability to develop ideas in a fast-paced environment, using hand drawing, plan and 3D visualization tools such as VRay or Lumion
  • Knowledge of urban planning policies and procedures
